Pyramica — When collaboration makes more sense than competition

The challenge: expand capacity without increasing structure

On paper, Pyramica and Gaobaltech could have been competitors.

Both companies develop software, work with clients who need complex problems solved, and could have chosen to compete for the same projects.

But that would have been the easy option. And probably the more limited one too.

Pyramica needed specific mobile development experience for some of its projects. We had that experience and could join its team without forcing it to expand its structure, improvise a hire, or turn down opportunities.

We came in to solve a specific need and ended up building a much broader relationship.

We worked alongside its team developing cross-platform mobile applications for its clients. Not as an external company waiting for instructions, but taking part in technical decisions, adapting to its way of working, and bringing judgement when the project needed it.

The collaboration worked because neither side tried to take the other’s place.

Pyramica kept the client relationship, knowledge, and direction of its projects. We brought the capacity and experience needed to deliver them with confidence.

Since then, we have continued collaborating whenever they need expertise in mobile development, artificial intelligence, or simply more capacity to take on work without compromising delivery quality.

We are not its invisible supplier or a permanently outsourced technical team. We are another software company they can rely on when a project requires something we know how to do especially well.

Sometimes we collaborate because they need specialist knowledge. Other times because they have more work than their team can absorb. And sometimes simply because working together makes more sense than trying to do everything separately.

We started as two companies that could have competed.

We ended up as friends who call each other when something serious needs solving.
